Problem
In the Bupa Office Fitout Brisbane, a premium workplace designed by Hassell, a key challenge was managing interior acoustics in the building’s smaller meeting and focus rooms. These spaces typically feature multiple hard surfaces, glass partitions, plasterboard, and joinery, which can cause excessive reverberation. Without effective treatment, this leads to poor speech clarity, reduced privacy, and user discomfort, especially in collaborative and high-concentration areas.
Solution
To address this, Hassell specified Autex Groove VJ acoustic wall panels in the rich, mid-blue Muralla colourway. Brisbane Acoustics was engaged to install these panels with a tailored approach that applied the optimal amount of acoustic treatment in each space. The choice of Autex Acoustics Groove VJ offered both high-performance sound absorption and a refined, modern aesthetic that complemented the architectural intent.
Working closely with Shape Queensland, the delivery team ensured optimal integration of the panels into the fitout timeline and quality standards.
